Dr. Marsh is a keynote speaker at the Magee-Womens Research Summit, an international conference of top scientists, researchers and corporate leaders focused on women’s health. This inaugural summit takes place on October 9-10, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Marsh is scheduled to speak at 10:00am on Oct. 10. This summit is designed to serve as a premier forum for scientific exchange and visionary discussions, which we hope will contribute to the national agenda on reproductive biology, carly human development and women’s health for the coming generations. By engaging scholars and leaders and top scientists in the field, we hope to promote a transdisciplinary approach to reproductive sciences and women’s health, and ponder how to harness the power of our scientific investigation to enhance the wellness of people and communities. From Pittsburgh, Dr. Marsh will travel to Charleston, WV at the request of DHHR Secretary Bill Crouch to attend a leadership meeting to organize a plan to fight the opioid crisis in WV. West Virginia has the highest rate of opioid-related overdose deaths in the US, and WVU is working to further understand and fight this epidemic in our state. While in Charleston he will meet with Charleston Division leadership and students.
